Entering the River of Touch—Discovering Flow, Presence, and the Foundations of Healing

Week 1 of the Professional Thai Massage & Manual Therapy program introduces students to the foundational postures, techniques, and therapeutic philosophy of Traditional Thai Massage. Through practice, demonstration, and guided partner exchange, students will learn the essential body mechanics, movement sequences, and energetic awareness required for safe and effective Thai bodywork. Grounded in mindfulness and metta (loving-kindness), this course emphasizes therapist alignment, client comfort, and rhythmical flow, using assisted stretching, compression, and palm pressure techniques. Students will learn a full Thai massage sequence in the supine position, develop confidence in partner-based movement, and build a strong foundation for further Thai therapy training.
