Massage therapy is a physically and emotionally demanding profession—and longevity in the field depends on a therapist’s ability to care for their body, manage stress, and maintain safe working conditions. This 4-hour course is a foundational exploration of the habits, tools, and practices that support the well-being, safety, and preparedness of the massage practitioner. Students will learn proper body mechanics, strategies for preventing injury and burnout, how to identify safety risks in massage facilities, and how to respond appropriately to emergency situations. Through reflection, discussion, and a wellness quiz, this course helps students build the habits of a grounded, safe, and sustainable bodywork practice.
