This immersive one-day course introduces students to the ancient and alchemical practice of plant distillation, focusing on the creation of therapeutic hydrosols and essential oils. Participants will learn to operate a copper or glass still, harvest and prepare aromatic botanicals, and observe the transformation of plant to aromatic water and oil. Blending science, sensory experience, and folk tradition, students will explore the uses of hydrosols and essential oils in massage therapy, skincare, herbal remedies, and emotional well-being. This course emphasizes ethical harvesting, seasonal awareness, and reverence for plant spirits, making it ideal for herbalists, bodyworkers, and sensory alchemists alike.
