Thigh & Knee Anatomy and Kinesiology for Functional Movement

ANAT-KINE-0206 - Thigh & Knee Anatomy and Kinesiology for Functional Movement

Quadriceps, Hamstrings, and Knee Joint Dynamics in Gait and Stability

This course examines the thigh and knee, emphasizing structural relationships that support walking, standing, and transitions between levels. Students study the femur, patella, tibiofemoral and patellofemoral joints, and major muscular groups including quadriceps, hamstrings, adductors, and IT band relationships. Clinical relevance to knee strain, tracking issues, and gait patterns is woven throughout.
